My Story

My name is Cheryl and I live in a beautiful picturesque little town in southwestern Ontario, Canada.

I love making and knitting, especially little things like baby items and socks! I am a professional seamstress by trade.

Busy Hands = Happy Heart.

My story begins with my love for sewing, knitting and crochet. I have been crocheting and knitting since I was old enough to manage the needles! My Grandmother and Mother both taught and shared with me their love for these wonderful crafts. 

I have loved sewing for as many years as I can remember. I was taught by my other Grandmother when I was a young girl. I can still remember hand sewing rag dolls with her scraps!

My love for needle crafts has grown ever since. Life is just not complete without my creativity and ability to create.

It was early in 2014 that I started making knitting bags after looking for a bag for myself. I wanted something small enough for the small projects I do like socks, doll clothing and baby things, but big enough to hold notions as well. I found a pattern that was near perfect, and with a few tweaks of my own, went from there. I received so many compliments and requests that I decided to open My Needle Crafts in order to offer my project bags.
